The Lies Of Men - Freyja The Promiscuous

Goddess of sexuality and sensuality. Goddess of love, beauty and attraction. She was also associated with war, death and magic. Freyja was said to be the most beloved, honored, and renowned among goddesses. But Freyja's erotic qualities became an easy target for Christianism, in which an asexual virgin was the ideal woman. She's called a whore by the Church men.

"White were the moorlands,
And frozen before her;
Green were the moorlands,
And blooming behind her.
Out of her gold locks
Shaking the spring flowers,
Out of her garments
Shaking the south wind,
Around in the birches
Awaking the throstles,
And making chaste housewives all
Long for their heroes home,
Loving and love-giving,
Came she to Scoring."

The Lies Of Men - God Was A Woman

Long before venerate male gods, our ancestors worshiped the goddesses. The belief that the universe was created by a female deity was present in almost all ancient cultures. With the advent of monotheistic religions, which only admitted a male god, goddesses were dethroned. In the West, many have come to be associated with the Virgin Mary, others were turned into holy and others were excluded from history or accused by the priests of being demons and prostitutes.
In the Babylonian writings Ishtar was the light of the world that opens the womb, do justice, gives strength and forgive. However, the Bible describes her as a prostitute. She is considered the devil incarnate.

"Unto Her who renders decision, Goddess of all things, Unto the Lady of Heaven and Earth who receives supplication; Unto Her who hears petition, who entertains prayer; Unto the compassionate Goddess who loves righteousness; Ishtar the Queen, who suppresses all that is confused.
To the Queen of Heaven, the Goddess of the Universe, the One who walked in terrible Chaos and brought life by the Law of Love; And out of Chaos brought us harmony, and from Chaos Thou has led us by the hand."

Babylon, Eighteenth to Seventh Centuries BC
