“The despair of Lamia” is the “The Lies of Men” project’s first track to be released.
Lamia was a beautiful queen of Libya, daughter of Poseidon and lover of Zeus, who became a child-eating daemon.
Zeus’ jealous wife, Hera, killed all of Lamia’s children and cursed her with the inability to close her eyes so that she would always obsess over the image of her dead children. Her despair transformed her into a monster who hunted and devoured the children of others.
